Optional work should have a clear purpose.
An add-on should explain what extra work is performed and when it is useful. Customers can select a service that matches their priorities, while detailers can define work beyond a base package. Avoid vague extras that leave either party unsure what has been booked.
Time belongs in the service choice.
Detailr accounts for the additional time associated with add-ons. A fictional 90-minute base service with two 15-minute extras needs 120 minutes of service time. The example explains the relationship; it is not a standard duration for a particular detailing task.
Set realistic durations.
Use your actual service process to estimate time. Vehicle size, condition, setup and employee experience can affect the day. Review completed work and adjust your offerings where appropriate. Accurate configuration makes the calendar more useful than simply selecting the smallest possible duration.
Confirm changes through the booking.
If a customer asks for another service after booking, discuss fit, price and available time before agreeing. Update the booking through the appropriate process. A message about an extra should not leave the recorded package or schedule out of date.
Questions, answered.
Does Detailr charge detailers a subscription or earnings commission?
No. Detailr does not charge detailers a software subscription or take a Detailr commission from their service earnings. The platform is funded by a customer transaction fee.
Can a business schedule recurring services and multiple employees?
Yes. Detailr supports recurring bookings, subscriptions, packages, add-ons and employee scheduling. Add-ons account for the additional time they add to a job. Set realistic services and employee hours in the app.
