Field notes

Booking a detail for a car with pet hair

Set accurate expectations before choosing an interior package or add-on.

01

Explain the starting condition.

Tell the detailer where the hair is concentrated, which vehicle you have and whether particular areas need attention. A brief, accurate description helps the business recommend a package. Do not assume an ordinary interior refresh includes extensive pet-hair work.

02

Check scope and extra time.

Ask whether treatment is part of the base service or offered as an add-on. Understand the expected result and any limitations before selecting it. Extra work may require additional time, and Detailr accounts for add-on duration when the appointment is scheduled.

03

Prepare for a useful visit.

Remove pet accessories and personal belongings from the areas to be serviced where practical. Discuss fitted accessories with the provider rather than removing unfamiliar equipment yourself. After the appointment, ask what ongoing maintenance service suits the way your vehicle is used.

Questions, answered.

Where can I see actual services and appointment times?

Open Detailr and use your location to explore participating businesses, their packages and available appointments. Prices and availability vary by provider and location.

What should I review before booking?

Check the selected vehicle, service inclusions, extras, location, appointment time, complete total including the customer transaction fee, and the applicable terms. Message the business if anything is unclear.

Confirm whether hair work is included or additional.

An ordinary vacuum, embedded pet-hair work and stain treatment are different scopes. Send photos of the affected areas before confirming the package. Ask whether any condition extra changes the price and reserved time, and avoid adding an extra that the package already includes.
